Net-A-Porter, Manhattan, New York, USA
In 2012, the continuing growth of the NAP Group reached global proportions with the requirement for new HQ's and DC's in USA, Hong Kong and China.
Studiofibre's involvement with the Manhattan project began with an initial search for an appropriate building/location together with an appropriate project team (local PM, GC, MEP and AOR). Once all aspects of the project had been approved, including the fantastic 5th Avenue location, Studiofibre then set to transforming the industrial shell into a flexible, progressive working environment for The NAP Group, continuing the 3D embodiment of the virtual brand and bringing to life the vision of what a modern 21st century company should look like.
Studiofibre continued to manufacture all bespoke furniture items and to maintain supply of the same contract furniture in order to retain the same quality and aesthetic. Working within the context and character of the 22,000 sq ft. loft style space (complete with stunning Manhattan skyline) which reaches across 2 floors and 2 separate buildings, with the new construction team and with the added challenge of metric/imperial translation, Studiofibre have succeeded in creating a new US workspace for NAP that still maintains a sense of 'coming home', globally uniting the company.
The project is currently pursuing LEED certification, with Studiofibre in charge of LEED services.
