Whilst ‘making’ is inherently bad for the environment, we believe that it is therefore important to change the WAY that we make... which is why we're on a journey to prioritise local craftsmanship, innovation, natural materials and no harmful VOC’s.

We take our responsibilities regarding sustainability and the impact that people and their behaviour have on the natural environment very seriously... but we also turn this on its head and consider the impact that nature has on humans, reconnecting us with the natural world and helping our own psychological restoration.

Sustainability & Wellbeing

Sustainability is at the heart of our business and it is our mission to create and curate projects & products that make a positive contribution to human health and to the environment around us.  All materials and processes that go into making these environments and the products within, form part of a sustainable approach to both the environment and the people who populate it. We have successfully completed BREAM, LEAD and FITWELL projects for our clients, and by natural default we would always prioritise natural materials, responsible manufacturing and products that are built to last.

People

There are a lot of incredible people behind Studiofibre.  They work in our studio and the offices of our partners, in our workshops & factories and those of our partners - and in our warehouses and those of our partners.  We have a responsibility to ensure their safe, healthy and equitable working conditions and we only partner with like-minded organisations to make sure that this is upheld.

Product

How and where we and our partners make the products matters.  We focus on Material Standards - selection of raw materials to ensure we lessen the environmental and social impacts of the items that we curate and create.  Production process is also very important to us recognising that our manufacturing processes and those of our partners have an impact on the environment and focussing on minimising this wherever possible.

Peace of mind

We inherently draw upon the restorative power of nature to design, make and curate furniture with health and well-being in mind. We take our responsibilities regarding sustainability and the impact that people and their behaviour have on the natural environment very seriously… but we also turn this on its head and consider the impact that nature has on humans.  We believe that this is the missing piece in the puzzle of sustainable development… reconnecting us to the natural world and helping our own psychological restoration.

Giving back
All materials and processes that go into making our own products form part of a sustainable approach to both the environment and the people who populate it and we are proud to partner with ‘One Tree Planted’ – a non-profit organisation focussed on re-foresting the planet.
